You've probably updated some packages since then.

Right.  It just means that you have two different debs lying around. 
They are just archives for the packages, so you can have arbitrarily
many versions of a package in deb format, but only one installed (or not
installed).  By having extra debs around, it's less time-consuming to
downgrade a package version, if need be.

I guess it tells you that you have some unused debs around, if nothing
else.  I tried it and I had a bunch of versioning messages, too.  After
