W.R.T. submitting some sort of CSV/TSV/text file: Too many points on the assignments have to do with presentation. I'm not quite sure what that has to do with physics, though. W.R.T. OpenOffice and StarOffice: These look promising, but the former is only alpha (with lots of instability warnings) on Mac OS, the latter isn't even offered for Mac OS. I was running Debian Linux next to Mac OS 8 and 9 for a while, but now that Mac OS X is Unix, I don't bother any more. The worst part of running down to the school's computer labs is that all the boxes there run Windows. :-/ (My physics professor did leak that some of the servers are running Linux, because Microsoft mumbled something about charging for web servers based on how many pages they serve.) Thanks again. I'll play with OpenOffice; I think I keep hearing rumors of a stable Mac OS X / Aqua release by the end of the year (a stable Mac OS X / X11 version would be fine for me, too, of course).
