Hi everybody,

for a couple of weeks now, I am no longer able to start X11 because XDarwin always quits on launch. This happens after having basically initialized the screen (X11-style grey background appears). XDarwin silently (no crash noted) quits and nothing happens.
Usually this is caused by a bad ~/.xinitrc file. How does yours look like?

Does XDarwin/XFree86 write any useful log information somewhere explaining why it quits? I have no clue.
If you start it from a terminal window ("startx -- -quartz"), you can read the startup messages. But if you have a ~/.xinitrc script that quits, there is no error message, because there is no error.
