I can not get xscrabble to run. From the readme:

you then need to rename "XScrabble.ad" to "XScrabble" and place it in
a resource directory, such as /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/, or your home
directory. You will get the error 'Couldn't find resource file
XScrabble' if this is not done correctly. Now edit the three lines
near the beginning of this file to indicate the location of the three
required files.

I can not find the 'XScrabble.ad' file(did a search for it) and got the error mentioned above.
You don't need to do this yourself. The package installs the file in question directly as /usr/X11R6/etc/app-defaults/XScrabble

But IMHO this is broken (Maintainer CCed). I don't know if it works with some versions of xfree86, but in Apple's X11, there is no /usr/X11R6/etc/ directory. It should use the fink app-defaults package instead and install into /sw/etc/app-defaults.
