I get a little fancy with my .cshrc, and so it's not idempotent, and I had
a hell of a time, at first, getting it going on OS/X. I stuck in echo
statements, and was surprised to find that my .cshrc was getting called
twice. I finally found out that the /etc/csh.cshrc, which is always
loaded first, has a line "source ~/.cshrc" in it, which was causing all
the problems. Killed that line, it works fine now.

I use tcsh. Maybe Apple has hacked their csh to work under those
conditions, I dunno.
