Possibly. Though I suspect the situation is a little to complex for
that. Sorting libdl and fondu are easy, the ghostscript vs
esp-ghostscript situation looks more complex and dependent on just what
packages people have installed, at least as I understand it.
but then, how do I uninstall the dlcompat that came with OOo? Is it
as simple as just deleting the files mentioned?

Nope, they're not from OOo though, 'cos I don't have them.
