In my attempt to reinstall fink after big problems yesterday, I tossed just at the beginning with this one:
Failed: Can't resolve dependency "ncurses (>= 5.3-12)" for package "aspell-0.50.2-1" (no matching packages/versions found)
when trying to install bluefish.
When looking at fink list "ncurses*", I see:
i ncurses 5.3-2 Full-screen ascii drawing library
i ncurses-dev 5.3-2 Shared libraries for ncurses package
i ncurses-shlibs 5.3-2 Shared libraries for ncurses package
And in the aspell.info file: BuildDepends: dlcompat-dev, ncurses-dev (>= 5.3-12) Depends: dlcompat, ncurses (>= 5.3-12), ncurses-shlibs (>= 5.3-12)
This looks like a side-effect of Dave's heroic effort to convert all of Fink single-handedly to gcc-3.3. He must have fallen asleep and checked in some 10.2-gcc3.3 stuff into the 10.2 tree (10.2/stable/main/finkinfo/text/aspell-0.50.2-1.info and
10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/text/aspell-0.50.2-1.info).
Jeff is probably innocent here.
