I try since yesterday to install (e.g.) tetex via
'fink install tetex'
After typing this command fink simply hangs . I can only proceed via <CTRL>-c which then
ends up in a message
^CInformation about 2986 packages read in 78 seconds.
The following package will be installed or updated: tetex The following 3 additional packages will be installed: tetex-base tetex-shlibs tetex-texmf Do you want to continue? [Y/n]
If I continue then I arrive at
dpkg -i /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/text/tetex-texmf_2.0.2-1_darwin-powerpc.deb
when everything hangs again. 'dpkg' seems to run but obviously is doing nothing and
I have to stop again with '<CTRL>-c'. Also commands like 'fink list' are hanging.
Does anyone know how to remedy this situation.
I am using fink version:
fink --version Package manager version: 0.14.0 Distribution version: 0.5.3.cvs
on a G3 MacOsX running version 10.2.8
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for your efforts in advance.
Cheers,
Roman
