Hi there,Try editing the file /sw/etc/fink.conf to alter the line "Verbose: 3" to "Verbose: 1". (Or, if you have no line beginning with "Verbose", add that line.)
You might get a more detailed output from fink in that case; if so, please post to the list.

thanks for trying to help me.
If I use 'verbose 1' I receive the following lines
fink install tetex Reading package info... Updating package index... done.
and then it doesn't continue.
