I'm a new fink user but modestly able at unix system administration. I've installed Kmail via Fink and rsynced my mailboxes over from my FreeBSD 5.2 box. Everything was going great until I tried to send mail. Every time, local SMTP or remote SMTP with authentication, I get a "sending failed" error with "HELO requires domain address". Somehow KDE won't send a HELO request with a domain no matter how freaking hard I try! I can telnet to the SMTP server and fake the steps manually, so everything is working except Kmail/Fink/Panther.
I've tried google and the Fink users and fink newbies archives with no luck.
