All of our servers at work that need to do some kind of viral scanning, be it either for mail, web, or file services use clamav. ClamAV has become a very good, free choice. Although there are still issues with the way their heuristics work and the signature system, they are ore for the virus guru scene than for the end user.
I can and will recommend clamav happily.
