Jean-François, I have followed your advice in the most conservative way:
(1) I have removed libsoup-ssl*, and the packages depending on them, i.e., gtkhtml3, evolution, ximian-connector, and bundle-gnome-office. (2) I removed gnutls* and xmlsec which depends on gnutls-shlibs (is it normal that the other xmlsec-* packages don't depend on it?). (3) I have rebuilt and installed libsoup-ssl [karma] /Users/dominiq% sudo fink install libsoup-ssl The following package will be installed or updated: libsoup-ssl The following additional package will be installed: libsoup-ssl-shlibs Do you want to continue? (5) I updated gnutls without problem, but then rebuilding libsoup-ssl failed with the missing gnutls deprecated symbols. (6) I removed gnutls, but this made things worse: a lot of missing symbols. So I went to step (1) and did steps (2) to (4) (install only). Now I am stopping before becoming totally nuts (all the involved packages are now up to date).
