Hi, I've been trying to install evolution and the compilation has failed over package libsoup-ssl. My very first question before trying to solve the problem is: I'm not using gnome, will evolution work for me? (I am not familiar with these issues, and it seems to me that some gnome packages work and others do not).
The error I get is the following (maintainer cc'd): rm -f .libs/soup-gnutls.lo gcc-3.3 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -DG_LOG_DOMAIN=\"SOUP\" -DSYSCONFDIR=\"/sw/etc\" -DLIBEXECDIR=\"/sw/lib\" -I.. -I/sw/include/glib-2.0 -I/sw/lib/glib-2.0/include -no-cpp-precomp -I/sw/include -no-cpp-precomp -I/sw/include -O3 -fstrict-aliasing -funroll-loops -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wmissing-prototypes -Wnested-externs -Wpointer-arith -D_REENTRANT -c soup-gnutls.c -MT soup-gnutls.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/soup-gnutls.TPlo -fno-common -DPIC -o .libs/soup-gnutls.lo soup-gnutls.c: In function `verify_certificate': soup-gnutls.c:79: error: `GNUTLS_CERT_NOT_TRUSTED' undeclared (first use in this function) soup-gnutls.c:79: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once soup-gnutls.c:79: error: for each function it appears in.) soup-gnutls.c: In function `init_dh_params': soup-gnutls.c:336: warning: implicit declaration of function `gnutls_dh_params_generate' soup-gnutls.c:339: warning: implicit declaration of function `gnutls_dh_params_set' soup-gnutls.c: In function `soup_gnutls_get_iochannel': soup-gnutls.c:501: warning: passing arg 2 of `gnutls_transport_set_ptr' makes pointer from integer without a cast make[2]: *** [soup-gnutls.lo] Error 1 make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make: *** [all] Error 2 ### execution of make failed, exit code 2 Removing build lock... dpkg -r fink-buildlock-libsoup-ssl-1.99.28-5 (Reading database ... 113912 files and directories currently installed.)
