The documentation in /sw/share/texmf-dist/doc/context/ppchtex/mp-
ch-en.pdf states
"The file m-pictex takes care of an efficient loading of PICTEX.
This is necessary because
LATEX allocates a lot of \dimens. Because of the userinterface a
big version of TEX is needed
to run PPCHTEX. "
I have no idea what "a big version of TEX" means, but this worked
in the 2.x version and not the current one. Is there something I
can do as a user, or do I need to change something and recompile?
This is something you fix by adjusting the "array and other sizes" _
the last part in texmf.cnf.
(probably extra_mem_top _ but not sure to remember well).
(Be sure however that the need for additional memory is genuine, not
caused by some error in the pkgs loaded)
