Hello all,
Just a minor but annoying problem. When I launch X11 I cannot get any fink installed apps to run out the first xterm window that opens. If I simply close that first window, then open another xterm instance, everything worked fine (thru 10.3.9). If I launch programs from Terminal (with X11 already open), no problems whatsoever.
my .profile is

export DISPLAY=":0.0"
. /sw/bin/init.sh
export DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=/sw/lib

I just upgraded to Tiger yesterday and updated my fink install as well. Since it still annoys me I thought I'd ask. Also, since I added the export line today (to get gnumeric work around the dyld symbol link failure thing), now the behavior is even odder.
The first xterm window says:
Ice-Wolf:~ gbp$ gnumeric
bash: gnumeric: command not found
Ice-Wolf:~ gbp$
So whereas I used to be able to just close it, then relaunch it (from the menu or hotkey), now the first time I open another xterm it immediately closes. I see it pop up, and then poof! it's gone. The third one, however, opens, stays open, and knows to look in the right spots in regards to fink.

Any ideas? OS 10.4.2, fink 0.24.7-21.
And again, thanks for all the effort in making fink work.
Brandon Potter
