I guess I'm on the bleeding edge. Is anyone on fink project working on this yet? I was able to get fink bootstrapped and installed, but only through personal heroics. I'd say about half the packages I've tried so far that fail to compile can be fixed by adding 'CFLAGS=-fno-common' to the list of configure options, but there is something really bizzare going on with some packages and files in /usr/include. With gzip for instance I got serveral errors about multiple type definitions from system include files. How is that even possible? They're system include files! I modified them by manually expanding the typedefs in the headers files temporarily just to get it to compile and then put it back the way it was. Very strange.
