Adding onto a recent thread, I'm running into the same
precise problem upon running gv. Details as follows:
Arch: Dual G5
OS: 10.3.9
Today, I did a completely clean install of fink, completely swiping
/sw and starting from scratch. I'm using fink/apt-get with fink
commander interface.
fink version: 0.7.2.rsync
package manager version: 0.24.10
The error upon startup of gv is identical to that reported by
Anup Mishra in a recent thread, namely:
Warning: Representation size 4 must match superclass's to override
highlightedBackground
Warning: Unsupported shape style for Command widget "toggleCurrent"
Warning: Unsupported shape style for Command widget "toggleEven"
Warning: Unsupported shape style for Command widget "toggleOdd"
Warning: Unsupported shape style for Command widget "unmarkAll"
Warning: Unsupported shape style for Command widget "autoResize"
Warning: Representation size 2 must match superclass's to override
internalWidth
Bus error
I've installed the gv binary distribution for gv-3.6.1-4
as for listed dependencies, I also currently have installed:
ghostcript-8.00-3 (binary dist)
x11-shlibs (virtual - presumably from Xcode)
xaw3d-shlibs-1.5-12 (binary dist)
I think that's all the relevant info, but I'm happy to supplier more
diagnostics.
My hope was to indeed have this running from the binary.
To help out, I thought I'd try to do a build from source as well. So I archived
the binary dist version of gv, fetched the source and then forced a rebuild.
This required the extra dependency of an xaw3d build, but in the end the built
from source version of gv works as expected. So I suppose I don't really care
any more, as I'll leave well enough alone. But I thought this might be good
to add to the thread.
