Hello,

somewhere along the way I've messed up my gnome desktop. I can launch a gnome-session in xnest and run gnome apps individually rootless - the basics are all working. But there are no applications listed in the gnome-panel application menu and no associations with files on the gnome desktop.

I've tried removing all the gnome stuff from my home folder, but I can't convice gnome to start afresh it seems.

How can I get gnome to treat my account as though I've never run it before and start up fresh?
