Sorry, missed that.

IIRC passing to a newer version of fink HEAD solved it. In any case, if you just go ahead, choose "give up" and build the package, there will be no problem, because the checksum is actually correct, only the checking code for SHA1 in fink HEAD isn't.

I guess I haven't payed attention to the SHA1 sum. Unfortunately, the problem is not solved in fink HEAD (as of fink_0.24.99.cvs-20060407.1318_darwin-powerpc, 10.4 tree, Mac OS X 10.4.6).

I believe this statement is not true. The trick is to run 'fink index -f'. I guess at some point fink HEAD screwed something up in the package database.
