I'm running Fink (freshly updated to 0.25.1) on an iBook G4 with Tiger 10.4.8 and Xcode 2.4. It points to the unstable branch. I currently have libidn 0.6.3-1 installed, and I can't compile the new version 0.6.6-1. The error occurs during a series of tests, see the output below.
