[ Maintainer cc'd ] Hi,
I'm having trouble getting tomcat5 running. It and tomcat5-webapps install okay, but then this happens: $ sudo -u tomcat /sw/bin/tomcat5 start shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: Permission denied Starting Tomcat: ok My console contains these messages: Jan 26 18:58:42 birthday crashdump[29072]: java crashed Jan 26 18:58:42 birthday crashdump[29072]: crash report written to: /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/java.crash.log I can post the crash log if anyone wants, but I suspect that my problem is more basic than that. I get the same results (error messages, console messages) when I try starting tomcat with daemonic, too. $ sw_vers ; fink --version ProductName: Mac OS X ProductVersion: 10.4.8 BuildVersion: 8L127 Package manager version: 0.26.1 Distribution version: 0.8.1.rsync powerpc $ java -version java version "1.5.0_06" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-112) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-64, mixed mode, sharing) FWIW, nidump says that tomcat's home directory is /sw/var/tomcat4, but I don't have that directory. I do have a /sw/var/tomcat5, though. Any ideas?
