I wasn't clear enough: The only "xquartz-2.3.4" that exists anywhere is 
the one from the 10.6 system. The xquartz project on macosforge never 
released version 2.3.4, it went from 2.3.3.2 directly to 2.4.0. Ajay's 
question was rather misleading (as far as a question can be misleading), 
because on 10.6 you currently have no choice at all.
