no, i didn't file a report because i didn't have enough time back then. i
mentioned it to point out that libsamplerate0 is not the only affected
package. it was the same bug. i had fontconfig-20090408-101 installed
previously (which, and that was the package i removed.

i reinstalled DevSDK from the Packages directory of my Xcode DVD image
(which i'm lucky to have kept around, since Apple now only distributes an
Xcode release that is incompatible with Mac OS 10.5!). this fixed the issue
with LSOpen.h. a similar problem was encountered by the mplayer compile
process, this time with QuickTime.h. i fixed this by (re)installing the
QuickTimeSDK using the same method. i'm a little puzzled about why these
didn't get installed (correctly) by XcodeTools.mpkg, but at least now i know
what to do.
