My camera is a Canon PowerShot S2 IS and is listed in the camera-list 
human-readable.
You mentioned that the path hasn’t been corrected for fink use. Although it is 
listed as the camera  as known to Gthumb
 I don’t know how to make it acceptable to fink.
You also mentioned upstream documentation. Where can I find this information?
