I have just installed Fink 0.31.0 from the source on Leopard, and
installed the fortune-mod and fortunes packages, both with version
number 1.99.1-2. However, when I invoke the fortune command, it prints
nothing and exits with status 0.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
[pegasus:/Users/raghu]% which fortune
/sw/bin/fortune
[pegasus:/Users/raghu]% fortune
[pegasus:/Users/raghu]% echo $?
0
[pegasus:/Users/raghu]%
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The command seems to be accepting options in the correct manner, and
prints output corresponding to those options:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
[pegasus:/Users/raghu]% fortune -c
(people)
%
[pegasus:/Users/raghu]% fortune -f
         0.19% goedel
         0.70% humorists
         0.54% kids
         [snip]
[pegasus:/Users/raghu]%
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Any help in resolving the problem is appreciated.

Regards,
Raghavendra.
