This issue smells like https://trac.macports.org/ticket/24541.
Have you ever edited, symlinked or moved any of the files
in /usr/include? The MacPorts user who saw this error had symlinked
/usr/include/malloc.h to /usr/include/malloc/malloc.h. If you have
ever *adjusted* files in /usr/include, I would strongly suggest
reinstalling Snow Leopard so that the system files and symlinks
are all restored.
