To be more precise, looking at the fink-package-precedence script, one sees that it does *not* condemn all subdirectories of /usr/local as has been claimed here, but it mentions /usr/local/include explicitly. This is reasonable, because by default the preprocessor does not look in other subdirectories. But then the script undoes this good thinking by also flagging, for example, '/usr/.*/expat\.h', and this is what matched /usr/local/fink/v0.31.4/include/expat.h in Brian's case. So it is not subdirectories of /usr/local/ that make the script puke in this case, but any subdirectory of /usr/. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RSA(R) Conference 2012 Save $700 by Nov 18 Register now http://p.sf.net/sfu/rsa-sfdev2dev1 _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [email protected] List archive: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.macosx.fink.user Subscription management: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
