I know this conversation is nearly a year old, but I'm still getting similar
errors when I try to build pdftk on 10.6 (intel). I noticed that over on
MacPorts, they had better luck with gcc 4.5.4 (see
<https://trac.macports.org/ticket/30299>). As of this writing, fink (on my
10.6 install) only has gcc 4.5.3. Two questions:

1. Has anyone been able to successfully compile pdftk 1.44 on 10.6+?
2. Is anyone in the process of packaging gcc 4.5.4 to see if that works?

Thanks. I hope this helps....
