There may be a misunderstanding (courtesy of update-alternatives): Fink has two versions of xdvi, one from the xdvi package and another one, called xdvik, from the texlive-base package. Thanks to update-alternatives, they both may respond to the name "xdvi". Which one you get can be found by running update-alternatives --display xdvi They have different window decorations (X toolkit vs motif toolkit). Only xdvik has a menu bar and a toolbar on top. In the version of xdvi (sans k, AKA "xdvi.xdvi") I see here, the toolbar is on the right, no menu bar. > I was able to make the controls vanish and reappear by pushing 'x'. This is true for both versions of xdvi. -- Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
