You can see which Xcode is active via
xcode-select -print-path
and you can change that with
xcode-select -switch /path/to/valid/Xcode.app
(i.e. wherever you have your Xcode 4.4 application).
fink uses "xcode-select -print-path" to get the diagnostic information
above, so it should reflect whatever your system has set up.
Once you definitely are pointing to Xcode 4.4 and its command line tools
("fink list xcode" is useful to verify that) then try aquaterm again.
