I've fixed them in CVS.

The reasons for -gcc46 are that octave-3.0.5 and 3.2.4 don't build with 
gcc47 or gcc48 on 10.6 and earlier, and octave-3.4.3 builds but other 
-oct packages which link against it are broken.
