No, Martin said the issue is completely unrelated to the problem that
you are having.
The problem is that somehow a reference to the /usr/local/bin/fish that
*you* installed at some point became encoded in something that the g77
build chain is using, and we haven't been able to figure out where that
is occurring. That's why I had you do all of those grep's.
A workaround might be to install fink's fish and then use
sudo ln -sf /sw/bin/fish /usr/local/bin/fish
to create that.
