So continue to clean up /usr/local/lib and/or /usr/local/libold! The warning

I understand this warning as if it is telling us that this library is for 
PowerPC (G3, G4, G5) based Macs. This hardware is not supported since Snow 
Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), the software architecture is not supported since Lion 
(Mac OS X 10.7): Rosetta had gone. Make a final backup with TimeMachine and 
then perform a radical spring clean in autumn!

The 'file' commando can easily identify inappropriate binaries, the command 
'lipo -info' or 'lipo -detailed_info' might provide more (unnecessary) 
information, the command 'lipo -remove' could help to save disk space and keep 
some very old universal binaries by removing their PPC components.
