Dear all.
I am trying to install php5 through fink.
The installation fails with
Configuring SAPI modules

checking for Apache 1.x module support via DSO through APXS... no

checking whether to enable Apache charset compatibility option... no

checking for Apache 2.0 handler-module support via DSO through APXS...
Sorry, I cannot run apxs. Possible reasons follow:
1. Perl is not installed
2. apxs was not found. Try to pass the path using --with-apxs2=/path/to/apxs
3. Apache was not built using --enable-so (the apxs usage page is displayed)
The output of /sw/sbin/apxs2 follows:
apxs:Error: /sw/bin/apu-1-config not found!.
configure: error: Aborting
### execution of /tmp/fink.Plcyi failed, exit code 1
### execution of /tmp/fink.UcBLe failed, exit code 1

Before reporting any errors, please run "fink selfupdate" and try again.
If you continue to have issues, please check to see if the FAQ on Fink's
website solves the problem. If not, ask on one (not both, please) of
these mailing lists:
The Fink Users List <[email protected]>
The Fink Beginners List <[email protected]>,
with a carbon copy to the maintainer:
Justin F. Hallett <[email protected]>
Note that this is preferable to emailing just the maintainer directly,
since most fink package maintainers do not have access to all possible
hardware and software configurations.
Please try to include the complete error message in your report. This
generally consists of a compiler line starting with e.g. "gcc" or "g++"
followed by the actual error output from the compiler.
Also include the following system information:
Package manager version: 0.36.4.1
Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Sat Apr 19 10:14:46 2014, 10.9, x86_64
Trees: local/main stable/main
Xcode.app: 5.1.1
Xcode command-line tools: 5.1.0.0.1.1396320587

I have tried the installation either going with
fink needs help picking an alternative to satisfy a virtual dependency. The
candidates:
(1) libapache2-mod-php5: PHP5 Apache 2 module
(2) libapache2-mod-php5filter: PHP5 Apache 2 filter module
(3) php5-cgi: PHP5 CGI binary
(4) php5-fpm: PHP5 FPM-CGI binary
1 or 3.... If I try to manually install the libapache2 module it fails as well.
I have perl installed.
fink list -i | grep perl
i perl5124 5.12.4-103 The Perl programming language, v. 5.12.4
i perl5124-core 5.12.4-103 Core files for perl, v. 5.12.4
p perl5162-core [virtual package]
p perlio-eol-pm5162 [virtual package]
p perlobjcbridge-pm5162 [virtual package]
i system-perl 5.16.2-1 [virtual package representing perl]
p system-perl5162 [virtual package]
Any hint on how I can proceed/overcome this problem.
Thanks and happy easter to everybody.
