First of all let me congratulate you for fiPY!
I have been following its development (my main expertise is in
Computational Thermodynamics of Materials, not so much kinetics) since
about a year. Now I have decided to try my luck.
I was able to install fipy. The tests ran ok, except for two of them.
One had to do with fipy.variables.variable.Variable.__array
