Does this show something sensible? import pylab pylab.plot((0, 1, 2)) pylab.show()
yes this command show something sensible on windows XP and vista, for I have the two operating systeme on my pc. but xp is very quick than vista. I have windows xp, how do i add the -n otpions to the target, i follow the instuctions on xp but i did not see where to add this: Add the -n option to Target being sure to leave a space after the last quote > and before -n The above lines may not work for vista. It was a hack that I read about and seemed to work. Try just running the script from the command line rather then from within IDLE. Also, I believe, enthought comes with ipython. Try running the above commands and a few fipy scripts with ipython as well. It may also come with other python environments. how do i use ipython? how do i call this environments within enthougth? what do you mean by this? It may be also worth perusing the matplotlib list if the commands above don't work. do we have this probleme in ubuntu for example? regards On Thu, Jul 31, 2008 at 7:41 PM, franck kalala <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Every is fine with fipy1.2 > > and i can run some example Great. > but i still have some problem with plot, Does this show something sensible? import pylab pylab.plot((0, 1, 2)) pylab.show() > i have plot, but on the top windows of the plot it is written that: not > respond. i don't understand how to fix IDLE following those line below > > Click on Start > Click on Programs > Click on Python 2.X (Enthought Edition) > Right click on IDLE (Python GUI) and click on Create Shortcut which creates > IDLE (Python GUI)(2) > Right click on IDLE (Python GUI)(2) > Click on properties > Add the -n option to Target being sure to leave a space after the last quote > and before -n > Drag and drop IDLE (Python GUI)(2) to the desktop to create an icon. The problem with interactive viewing on windows must have been dealt with by now.
