I try to run my scripts in ipython.exe
But I try to open ipython.exe I have this message:
the application can not start because pywintypes25.dll is missing.
I found ipthon.exe in python24/scripts/ipython.exe and i run it from
there and it is not in fipy package
This error doesn't appear to have anything to do with FiPy. How did
you install ipython? Are you sure you have all of its prerequisites?
in short I still have problem with my display plot it is not work
perfectly when i try to run an fipy example.
In what way does it "not work perfectly"? It sounds like it doesn't
work at all.
I remark that I have three viewers, matlaplotlib, gist, gnuplot, how
fipy choose one of them as a default viewier?
FiPy tries all of the viewers that it knows about in some order until
it finds one that can plot the requested variables. It's probably
alphabetical, but you should not depend on that.
how can I set and fix a default viewier?
FiPy looks for an environment variable called FIPY_VIEWER. Set this
to, e.g., "matplotlib", "gist", or "gnuplot". I don't know anything
about setting environment variables on Windows, but if you can get
ipython to work, you should be able to do:
>>> import os
>>> os.environ['FIPY_VIEWER'] = "matplotlib"
before you
>>> run script.py
