I've had the same problem both in chats and with instant messages. All
the indicators show that I'm online, but when I send messages they don't
go to anyone. I've been testing by sending to myself, and when this
does occur my messages don't even get to me. I usually just quit Fire
and start over and it seems to work. It can be inconvenient when I
don't notice what has happened for like 40 minutes though.
