I don't think it's a good idea to have someone making the TOT builds readily
available for your average Joe User to download and run. People who don't
understand the software development process are going to come across the
file and think they're getting a sweet, new version of Fire with lots of new
bells and whistles without realizing the inherent risks. I'll reiterate
Eric's warning: The TOT builds are not guaranteed to be anything. Stable?
No. User-friendly? No. Take up space on your hard drive? Perhaps. It's
not release-quality software. If it was, we'd release a new version. But
if you enjoy living on the edge and want to help beta-test Fire and improve
it, download the source, waste clock cycles, build your own and run a cvs
build.

Yes, the UI is changing. Yes, your accounts need to be reentered.

No. Account migration will not be implemented. I tried to be accommodating
and taught Fire to migrate the location of the application support files,
and that caused as many problems as it solved. Having to reenter your
account information is a little less traumatic than entering all your
buddies again. There will be a note in the ReadMe and that's it.
