Hi all...
I just have a few problems with the current TOT of fire...
In the preferences the profile pane still hangs if you use the third
option where you can specify any name to show as you in the chat
windows. If i use any of the first 2 options the Profile pane opens
fine. I have tried turning off some other preferences to see if this
makes any difference. I will look into this further and see if i can
locate any other preference that is causing this issue.
My second problem relates to the "reconnect after sleep" option in the
preferences... I use a laptop with airport software installed. Fire is
trying to reconnect my services before the laptop has finished opening a
connection between it's self and the base station. As a result the
reconnect feature is very much a hit and miss affair... some times it
reconnects but most of the time it's just trying a bit to quickly before
the network connection is established. Would it be possible, in this
release or a future release, to get fire to wait till the airport
connection is fully established, like the mail app. If not perhaps a
simple user definable timer that would let me set how long i would like
fire to wait before attempting to reconnect.
My third and final issue is related to the new MSN features. When i set
an away message with the type set to "Busy" when i use that away message
it sets AIM to "away" then ICQ to "occupied" both of which i believe to
be correct but it makes MSN go to "away" instead of "busy" like it use
to. Any chance of getting it to do this again. On a similar issue...
when a friend on MSN sets there status to things like "out to lunch" or
"on the phone" all of which are preset status messages for MSN, they do
not show up with the appropriate away or busy icon. Would this be
possible?
many thanx
John
