This is the very problem i tried to report at the beginning of the
week. Apparently if you use the third option in the profile pane...
that's the one where you type in your own name. You must have GPG
installed for the profile pane to work properly. I have given up on
this and now just leave it set at the first option so i can still have
access to my profile.
Only people who don't use GPG seem to get this issue.
