Yes, that’s what I needed! The panel would hang if you had set a custom name for yourself, but not set a profile. This has been fixed in TOT.
As a workaround, if you want to keep using the 0.30.b release, open a Terminal window (sorry, but it’s the easiest way) and type:
defaults write Fire ProfileText asdf
This will let you get into the profile prefs again and make further changes from there.
