I have just spent some time with the new fire buddy list... my first
impressions are it's very Proteus... but i must admit it 's slowly
growing on me.
One thing i find confusing is the icon used to set the status. The Plus
sign just doesn't fit in for me. I would think something similar to a
no entry road sign (solid red circle with broad white line through the
centre) or a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark in it might
have more meaning. What do ya think?
Also i find the image overlay that appears when you set an away status
is a bit to big and obtrusive for me. I would like to see it smaller
like the way it use to show over the buddy controls button in the IM
windows when your buddy changed his or her status. If i'm not being
clear here please get back to me. :-)
The icons also seem a bit fuzzy at the moment... but as you state this
is a work in progress so i expect you already plan to address this
issue. But i would like to say that i prefer the icon that appear over
the dock icon more that the one used in the buddy list for the busy
status. It seems sharper and more expressive of what the busy state
means...
Just some of my opinions... Like i said at the beginning... this is
growing on me and i do like it. :-)
