When you're having conversations with people, the pull-down bar
area contains a list of all the conversations you are having. Clicking
on one brings that window to the front. I just recently figured this
out myself, but it looks pretty useful.

I've been having the same problem with my buddy list always being a
little above the bottom of the screen. I'm using the 0.31.a release
(because I can't figure out how to get TOT to work).
