I think I know what he's talking about, and I don't think it has anything to
do with the dock.
When I extend my buddy list window to full the entire vertical length of the
screen, quit fire, then restart, the buddy list is drawn much shorter than
how I had set it. I know this doesn't have anything to do with the dock
because I don't keep my dock on the bottom of my screen. This only seems to
happen with the toolbar expanded.
The solution for me is to either keep the toolbar collapsed (which isn't
really practical), or make the buddy list just a few pixels shorter than the
max height. Then fire draws the window the same size every time.
This is obviously a bug somewhere. Not sure if it's in fire, or the system.
