You are correct!  "a shared-nothing cluster" is a type of cluster, one that is 
used for a number of database cluster solutions.

I should have said:

"That type of solution is not what immediately comes to mind for me, since I 
see a shared disk solution (using redundant SAN storage) to be much easier to 
implement for FB."
