Aren't you, guys, too eager in it?.. Situation is, actually, the same as it was before inventing C++ interface. Always there was a lot of languages (including Java and .NET in their early days) that were unable to use good old C interface. They had to invent tricks (JNI for for example or using network protocol directly) to get access to Firebird, not you to provide a interface to them.
