To be true, this code is rubbish. Think about (at least) preparing
your command, as Paul Mercea said. Maybe some better object handling
and/or connection handling will be worth considering... ;)
In your description, you're not explicitly saying, whether you're
taking into account or not network delays, query processing etc.
