Hi *,

I don't like the idea of huge releases with bumping version number
from 1.3 to 12.87 :). Especially because we're open source, I'd like
to release more often [1] - you'll get the bug fix faster. You can
test features faster/earlier.

I more (or less) automated the building, testing and partially
publishing NuGet. That's the "code" part. The tedious part is
building MSI, ZIPs, packing sources, tagging SVN, creating
announcements, asking people to update the site, uploading to
SourceForce, ...

Is this something you'd like to have? If so we can discuss how to do it etc.

[1] I mean point releases (1.2.x) like every month or two, if any
development happens. Major and minor releases depending on new
features and changes, as today.

Hi Jiri and *
I would like the ideea that Firebird.Net Provider number reflect the FirebirdSQL server version. By example for FirebirdSQL server 2.5 to have provider 2.5.1, 2.5.2 etc. We know that FB server don't brake anything between 2.5.0 to 2.5.1 or 2.5.2..(if i remember right). It's not a problem to have provider as 2.5.14 that we know is supporting features for FB Server 2.5.X.
But this notation is discontinued by actual release number 2.7.X.
Expecting FBSqlServer 3 I would like to have provider 3.

If we choose to monthly release we could adopt a notation as 2.5.7 (7 means the month) or 12.7.26 witch is the release date. The first notation could express the relation between provider and supported fb sql server version.

my 2c.
