Hi Yetkin Değirmenci, That "WISE guy" is me.
Thank you for your time for this remark. The point is: "İncele" is used in place of variously many kind of different English words. See the following definition from babylon: incelemek v. examine, investigate, search, go into, dig, dig out, analyse, analyze, audit, check over, con, construe, dissect, examine into, look into, look through, observe, peruse, research, research into, scan, study, make a study of, survey, twig, vet As you can see, there is no "inspect" in this definition. However, even if "inspect" was there, I would still not prefer to use "incele" which is a word even used for English words like "investigate", "research", "observe" and "audit" which are completely unrelated to "inspect". Then, let's see the definition of "teftiş etmek" from babylon: teftiş etmek v. inspect, visit, review So, we can see "inspect" in the definition of "teftiş etmek". Observe that it does not have so many different meanings and "inspect" is the very first meaning. Let's also see the definition of "denetlemek": denetlemek v. check, control, audit, inspect, examine, supervise, superintend, oversee As you see, there are so many unrelated English meanings in the definition of "denetlemek". Also note that "denetlemek" is rather commonly used for "control" and "audit". My conclusion in a question form: Why shall I use a word which is used for many variously different English meanings while there is a word which has a more compact and more accurate meaning for "inspect"?
